BER Assessments
What is a BER rating?
A (BER) Building Energy Rating is a rating of how energy efficient your home is. This is calculated using an estimated annual energy use & CO2 emissions.
This rating scale runs from A to G, A being the most energy efficient and G being the least. You will be provided with a certificate and advisory report when complete.
Who should get a BER rating?
BER ratings compulsory for anyone renting or selling a home.
They are a good starting point to see where your energy rating lies before making efficiency improvements.
Your advisory report will advice on where you can make improvements.
What does an assessment involve?
One of our assessors will come out and carry out an assessment of your home. This will include a room by room survey noting things like window type, size and room area.
It will take a couple of hours for our assessor to carry out the survey. This information will then be used to calculate your BER rating and produce a report advising where upgrades can be made.
